In a Daze...

I am in a daze this morning. Walking in a fog of shock and sadness. I just can't understand why someone would want to take their own life. Why would someone want to end it all? Last night Jason got a phone call from a friend saying that one of his co-workers and good friends had taken his own life. We don't know all of the details yet, but all we know is they (don't know who) took him to the hospital to try to save him, but they were unsuccessful. This man had a wife and the cutest little 3 year old daughter. Jason said Steve (the friend) has been having some marrital problems, but I guess no one realized Steve was taking it so hard. From what Jason has told me, Steve was a guy that would do anything for anyone. He'd bend over backwards to do what he needed for you. I had met Steve and his family a few times. We were just at the Nissan Easter Egg Hunt back in April with them. He seemed to be a good family man. He even brought his daughter to the Cruise In in M'boro one night by himself...now THAT'S a real daddy! :) I'm just so sad for his family and especially his baby girl. I can't imagine losing Jason right now! It makes me realize how short life can be and how we shouldn't take it for granted.
Please pray for Steve's family and Jason as they all grieve the loss of a loved one.
