Busted Black and Blue

Ok, now for the blog you have all been waiting for. Two weeks ago we went camping at Willow Grove on Dale Hollow lake for the weekend. I had some extended family and friends staying on houseboats and we were lucky enough to have a water taxi (Uncle Denny's very nice boat) to take us from the campground to the houseboats for the day. We had a great time visiting and playing Cornhole (yep! Cornhole!!). While on the lake I decided to try my hand...or should I say feet?...on the surf board again. It took me a couple tries to get up this time, but the third time was the charm. Well...I guess not so much since when I fell that time I came up and got busted in the forehead by the board. Immediately my head swelled up with a HUGE bump and was bleeding just a tad. At first I didn't think it was bad, but then when Jason grabbed a lifejacket and jumped in after me I knew it had to at least LOOK bad. Let me just tell you...it didn't look half as bad the day it happened as it did in the days after. This bump turned the corners of both of my eyes black and blue. It just traveled down my nose and to my eyes. I still have bruises showing on my forehead, eyes and nose. I went to have a CT scan done to make sure there wasn't any really bad damage. It came back negative, thank goodness! Annnyways! Everything is good, my head and face are getting better each day, and I WILL try that dang surfboard again!!!

I tried to take pictures of my black eyes, but the picture just didn't do it justice. Oh...Notice the Caprisun I had to use as an ice pack!!
